Eric Clapton – Nothing But The Blues – A Martin Scorcese Film
FROM BACK COVER:
“In late November, 1994, movie director and blues music fan Martin Scorcese filmed a documentary on
guitarist Eric Clapton, who was touring the United States with his “Nothing But The Blues” show. Scorcese
recorded interviews with the musician on why the blues genre had influenced him so much, as well as two
complete shows from the tour at The Fillmore in San Francisco.
The results of Scorcese’s work were aired once on PBS television stations in the United States, but have
never been seen since. Until now. Now on DVD, with visuals taken from a rare Warner Music promotional
video and remastered concert sound from the original pre-FM master tapes, this film provides a lasting
chronicle of one of Clapton’s most critically acclaimed tours.”
