Jimi Hendrix – Rainbow Bridge, the original, full-length theatrical release.  This version includes 12 minutes of previously unreleased movie trailers.

This title was originally officially released in North America, but has now been long out of print.  It is available at ridiculously high collector’s prices from some retailers.  However, we are pleased that we are now able to offer this import version at a reasonable price.

This is “Rainbow Bridge” completely restored to its original, uncut length from the only remaining 16mm print in existence.  As a special bonus, also included are 12 minutes of rare trailers that had been previously kept packed away in a warehouse.

Nothing is missing!  See Jimi alongside drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Billy Cox playing such musical milestones as “Purple Haze”, “Foxy Lady”, and other mind-blowing hits atop Hawaii’s Haleakala volcano.  A mix of mysticism and music, “Rainbow Bridge” also includes interviews with Jimi where, through a haze of drugs and alcohol, he talks about life, his beliefs, and, in what now seems prophetic, his death, which occurred only three months later.

Audio & Video Quality:  This movie was only filmed in 16mm.  Having said that, the quality is pretty decent, somewhat better than good quality, approaching very good quality, about an 8.25-8.5 using our website Quality Rating Table.
