Feast of Friends Documentary (1969)
This filmw was the result of the idea of filming some of the chaos that was happening at the Door’s concerts, shot in 16mm color and B&W.  Under the supervision of Jim and the Doors, UCLA filmmaker Paul Ferrara pieces together successions of footage.  Actor Harrison Ford, a friend of Pauls, works as a grip for the crew and also did some of the filming.  Almost 50,000 feet of performance and backstage footage are captured on film of their North American tour.  In March 1969, filming abruptly ended prematurely.
