“Bobby Darin’s legendary status was assured when his 1959 meghit “Mack The Knife” earned him two
Grammy Awards.  In addition to a standout recording career, Darin also excelled in motion pictures (with an
Oscar Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1963), on television (with his own prime time variety series),
and with personal appearances (headlining in Las Vegas at age 23).  Bobby Darin died in 1973, at the age
of 37.

Bobby Darin’s remarkable talent as a singer, musician, composer and actor is showcased in this highly
rated 1970 television special, taped at the peak of his popularity.  He is joined by a young and just emerging
Linda Ronstadt and the ever young and charming George Burns in two delightful numbers.  Bobby leaves us
with an uplifting “Simple Song Of Freedom”, his call of hope and peace for the future.”
