Probably the finest documentary ever produced on Buddy Holly.  Includes tons of rare footage and photos and interviews with those who surrounded Buddy during his lifetime.

Part 3:
The Last Day – 1989 U.S. Documentary
This documentary examines the last day of Buddy’s life with the most extensive footage ever of the crash site along with the most detailed analysis of the cause of the crash.  Many interviews included.

Audio & Video Quality:  Both documentaries are in good to very good quality, about an 8.25 using our website Quality Rating Table.  Part 1 is generally in good quality, but of course, the original home movie portions are filmed in 8mm in what we would call reasonable quality, part 1 about an 8.0.
