Jelly Roll – Save Me (documentary)

A 38-year-old rapper turned country rocker named Jelly Roll is taking the country by storm.  Addressing his own struggles with mental health and addition, this documentary tells the story of the rise of the musician and Nashville native.

Jelly Roll, a singer-songwriter-rapper, has been active in the music industry since 2010, when he first emerged as a hip-hop musician.  Since then, he has developed and established himself in the country music industry as well.  He worked with Lainey Wilson on the 2023 hit “Save Me,” and in April of that year, he won three CMT Awards for his single “Son of a Sinner,” which was his first song to be released in the country music genre.

Jelly Roll narrates his journey from a street kid that didn’t have any self-worth to the current status of global fame in the movie’s trailer.  The movie follows Jelly Roll as he travels the nation and focuses on his charitable work with young people in the juvenile detention centre where he was imprisoned when he was younger.
