Happening ’68 was a rock music tv show that aired on Saturday afternoons. The show’s hosts were Mark Lindsay and Paul Revere. Happening ’68 featured guest artists lip-synching their latest hits.
One regular feature was a garage band contest with celebrith judges. The show featured music, interviews and topics of interest to teenagers. In 1969 the show changed it’s name to Happening.

They keep calling James “Scotty”. Includes original commercials for Amred Forces Radio and Television and includes a Smothers Brothers segment.

Winning band receives $10,000 in prizes including Vox guitars, Singer portable TV, and a 1968 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon. Includes original commercials (Cover Girl with Susan Dey).

Paul Revere and Mark Lindsay talk about the need for lowering the voting age. We hear Richard Nixon’s voice and then Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart are introduced and perform their song “L.U.V. (Let Us Vote).
Happening News segment with Sue Cameron who tells us that a Monkees TV special will air in April. Also Sonny and Cher will appear in a feature length cartoon that will be like an American version of Yellow Submarine called, “The Princess and the Frog”.
Tommy Roe performs “Dizzy”.
